Where we
work.

Rescue Network operates across six states in the Upper Midwest. We move animals from overpopulated reservations and shelters to foster homes and adopters where families are waiting.

Coverage Map

Six states. One network.

From the Reservations of South and North Dakota to foster homes throughout South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin — our network spans the territory it takes to get every animal home.

In 2025, 2,214 animals came into our care. Most (1,687) came from reservations in South Dakota, Minnesota and North Dakota. Other sources include returns (141), South Dakota shelters (70), animals born in our care (69), southern states (65), vet partners (62), owner surrenders (49), Minnesota shelters (47) and local strays (24). The full breakdown is on Our Impact.

Our Six-State Service Area

Want to help bring an animal home?

You can adopt, foster, or donate from anywhere — adopters just need to meet their animal in person first, and our foster homes are mostly in Minnesota and South Dakota.
